False tooth?

i have a gap in my teeth from where i got a tooth out. and now i cant smile with my mouth open as its really bad looking.

can anyone tell me is it sore and expensive to have a false one put in to replace it???

please help. its shatterin my confidence.

thanks

False tooth?
It depends on HOW yo decide to replace the missing tooth. An acrylic flipper would be the most inexpensive and can be used as a temporary fix if you decide to go with another treatment option. The best option would be an implant, but that does take approx 6 months of healing before the actual crown can be placed. A 3-unit bridge is also an option but will mean shaving down the adjacent teeth and can cost equal to or more than a single implant. A Maryland bridge may also be an option, but a lot of dentists are steering away from Maryland bridges if there is a question of retention, periodontal (gum) disease or if the adjacent teeth are not very sound.

Talk with your dentist and get the full scope of options he has available for you. They can best service you especially if they have x-rays to view of the entire area. Good luck
Reply:HELLO,

JUST HAVE THE DENTIST DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

#1. A FLIPPER, CHEAPEST BUT YOU SHOULDN'T EAT WITH ONE. IT WILL FILL IN THE EMPTY SPACE.

#2. A REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE

#3. A TRADITIONAL BRIDGE

#4. AN IMPLANT, MOST EXPENSIVE OF ALL BUT WORTH THE MONEY AND TIME TO HAVE IT.
Reply:Best Advice go your Dentist.

I used to have a Gap up front, from an accident loosening 3 upper Front Teeth.

I decided for Implant, which is not inexpensive ,but worse it.

But your Dentist will know best.

Good Luck

To much sweets can give caries in your teeth?True or False?

plaque which can cause cavities only takes 24 hours to set up on your teeth. I suggest flossing and brushing 30 minutes after you eat any sweets. Brushing and flossing atleast twice a day is very important along with a visit to the dentist every 6 months.

False tooth and dental bonding?

i fell about a day ago on my face, right on the left side of my mouth, my top lip on the is completely swollen +my two teeth on the left side of my mouth, specificaly the most crooked one, are loose now. on that side of my mouth, those two teeth have always been crooked compared to the rest of my teeth. i like my teeth but they were always a bit pointy, so im figuring since im going i might as weel ask what i can do about these things. the one tooth that i hit is the most crooked/ a bit pointy, i actualy even chipped it a bit more, %26amp; its super loose so now it looks even pointer. i figure i might have 2 remove that tooth, get a false one, and maybe get some dental bonding for my other pointy teeeth, which is about 3 or 4 other ones. i am 16, my parents want me to go to the dentist and just ask about what i can do for my teeth. i want to pull that one out because its really the only crooked tooth on that side, so y would i get braces, anyway bout how much would all this cost?

False tooth and dental bonding?
A loose tooth may tighten back up if it is splinted properly and allowed to heal. Your dentist can best assess your situation. Any minor chips are usually able to be fixed with bonded composite or porcelain restorations. The sooner you see a dentist, the better your options will be. Good luck to you!

False
Reply:Flase.....aren't milk teeth the ones that you have when you're a little kid? The other ones are the ones you have for your whole life.....well, until they fall out anyways!
Reply:Only if you stop drinking milk.

"Milk" teeth are primary or "baby" teeth which are meant only to last long enough to allow the permanent teeth to erupt.
Reply:False, milk teeth are primary teeth or baby teeth. They start coming in, on average at about 6 months old. Most babies have all 20 primary teeth by age 2. Around 6 yrs of age, you start shedding baby teeth for permanent teeth to come in. The average child will have lost all primary teeth by age 12, but some have them longer.

Everything you want in life has teeth. True or False?

And please take a moment to give why you feel it's true or false.

Everything you want in life has teeth. True or False?
I've never thought of it that way, but I do believe I'd go with True. Everything comes with a cost, and in that regard, if I become delinquent on a payment to one of those things, late fees bite me in the behind. Relationships come with teeth and claws, if not maintained, problems solved, and love is replaced with neglect.

Reply:If you are taking the sentence completely, 100%, literally, then absolutely false. Knowledge (what I believe to be the one 'thing' that is most important in life) is completely non-physical in its nature, therefore it can't possibly have literal, physical teeth.

If this is some sort of metaphor, then I would need it to be better explained. I don't quite have a full understanding of it right now. If I can get it better explained, then I can start to figure out how to 'debunk' it.

Would you reveal to someone that you two of your front teeth are false?

My roommate just did the other night. Maybe she wants to be my friend and is trying to tell me stuff about her.

Would you reveal to someone that you two of your front teeth are false?
It's a part of how women bond. If you're roomates, you are going to know more than just stuff like that about each other. Try not being so stuffy. She opened up to you. If she told you something that personal, she must really like you as a friend. Good friends are hard to find. You should feel happy that she feels comfortable enough to open up to you.
Reply:Sure, I would. It's no big deal. Depends on the context of the conversation.

I wouldn't, out of the blue, say to someone: "hey, guess what, my two front teeth are false". That would be a bit strange, but if teeth came up in conversation, then yeah, I don't see a problem.

What is a good hold for false bottom teeth?

lower dentures are very difficult to hold in place. Keep them clean, dry them well, then apply regular fixodent. In-plants are very good alternative in keeping the lower from moving while eating. Two in plants in the front will provide a great anchor for you denture to be snapped into place. These can be costly, so try using the glue first. The fresh fixodent dose not hold denture in place. Good luck

Who made George Washington's false [wooden] teeth?

When George Washington was inaugurated for his first term as president in 1789, he had only one natural tooth remaining and was wearing his first full set of dentures made by John Greenwood.

Contrary to popular belief, none of Washington's dentures were made of wood. The Greenwood dentures had a base of hippopotamus ivory carved to fit the gums. The upper denture had ivory teeth and the lower plate consisted of eight human teeth fastened by gold pivots that screwed into the base. The set was secured in his mouth by spiral springs.

Washington's next set of dentures was made in 1791 and a third in 1795, for which he paid sixty dollars. James Gardette made a large and very clumsy set for him in 1796. Apparently Washington was not pleased with these dentures and may have ordered another set from Greenwood in 1797. Washington often returned dentures for adjustments and repairs, at one time complaining that "they were forcing his lips out." His final set was made in 1798, the year before he died. This set has a swagged gold plate with individual backing for each tooth which was fastened by rivets. The lower denture of this set, along with others, are on display in the Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry in Baltimore.

Who made George Washington's false [wooden] teeth?
He made them himself, out of a hardwood like cherry.

How do you keep them from moving?

I am getting false upper teeth, will I be able to sing.?
Yes just make sure you put something on them to make them stay in
Reply:if you couldnt before you still wont be able to with dentures! they dont perform miracles!
Reply:If your dentures are worthwhile, they shouldn't interfere with singing. Talk to your dentist about your concerns.

I remember when my mother got dentures, her dentist told her to be sure to come back and get them refitted after the swelling in her mouth went down. Too many people don't do that, and they struggle with ill-fitting dentures that come loose and don't work. You shouldn't need gluey stuff to keep them in place. If they fit right, they should stay in place by normal suction. You should need to use your fingers to unstick them.
Reply:Hey, i wonder if u can help me, i had ma upper tooth extracted few weeks ago %26amp; now another one next to it seems to hurt %26amp; might need extraction, is it true that once extraction an upper tooth the ones next to it also get infected? if u can mail me or answer my question here that will be much appreciated or E-mail me, thanks, by the way you will beable to sing with dentures or crowns/bridges.
Reply:depending on the exact design of what you're getting it may take awhile before you talk normally again. How your tongue rubs against the upper will affect how you talk until you get used to it. If it's designed well and well constructed once you get used to it you should have no problem.

With false upper teeth has anyone had problems with a horribly itchy, sneezy, runny nose after getting them??

Are you allergic to nickel ? or any metal?

======================================...

Updated answer:

If the crowns you got were PFMs, or porcelain fused to metal, then this could be the reason, these crowns have high content of nickel in the metal alloy, and can trigger an allergic reaction, specially if they are not covered with porcelain in the back, and the bare metal is touching your gum.

I think your problem will not resolve unless you change these crowns into something that has no Nickel in it, like all ceramic crowns, Lava crowns, captek crowns (which is similar to porcelain fused to high purity gold).

If the crowns you have are not PFMs, then it's hard for me to find an explanation for your situation.

If you are not sure about your crowns, call your dentist and ask him what metal was used. PFM can be "porcelain fused to non precious metal", they are cheap, because they don't have any precious metal in the alloy (read bio-compatible metal here), thus causing a lot of allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. PFMs can be "porcelain fused to semi- precious or high noble metal", they tend to cause less allergic reaction because they have more gold in the alloy and less nickel.

but still, if you have confirmed allergy to nickel, I would pick a crown that is metal free, LAVA crowns are great, and extremely bio compatible, but they significantly more expensive.

If you mean by false teeth a partial denture, not crowns or bridges, then try to take the denture out for couple days, see if that helps. if it does, again change it to non metal partial, like a valplast.

let me know if I can be of more help.

Is it rude to ask someone you don't know well for the address of their false teeth dentist?

Mrs. Badgrumbles

If you need to know this, then imo I would lay off the Cornish pastries and Chinese tea!

Otherwise it depends on the circumstances, such as:

1. Did the top teeth fall out while talking with you? This would be the most appropriate time (DO NOT offer to pick them up, bad etiquette)

2. Were they making clucking or tapping noises? Doesn't matter, I would refrain from saying anything.

3. Were you visiting %26amp; saw a pair in a glass in the bathroom? You might then check to see if there are any names imprinted on the teeth, this would save you the embaressment of asking.

4. Personally, I would check the yellow pages, who would want their dentist anyway.

Is it rude to ask someone you don't know well for the address of their false teeth dentist?
Mr. B, (if you don't mind), I am glad you like my structured answer, your point is clearly understood :) smile. I would like to sincerely thank you for the 5 stars %26amp; 10 points! Might I add in regards to the badge/bus, that you are a bit cheeky yourself, haha, have a good day! Report It

Reply:Just say you're looking for a new dentist and could they recommend anyone. You certainly don't need to make mention of the "false teeth" or any other personal issue about them. :)
Reply:Yeah i would say it was rude. It's not rude however if they have actually admitted to their false teeth. Then it's fine to ask, but make sure you compliment them on their teeth too.
Reply:DUHH WHAT ARE RETARTED YES!!

if you had fake teeth and sombodty asked you that what would you think?!!!!
Reply:it kinda depends on if one wanted to offend them, or if one really wanted to get some one's self. =)
Reply:Ask about their dentists address but dont mention the false teeth
Reply:Yes, it's rude. And, if the dentist was any good, you shouldn't be able to tell that they have false teeth.
Reply:Oh come on, use your head. Ignore what everyone else here is saying about "depends how you ask" and other sh*t like that - if you ask at all, even in the nicest way possible then you've just made it clear that YOU CAN TELL THEIR TEETH ARE FALSE! Why don't you ask a question on here instead about "where can I get false teeth that don't look false", that would be more constructive, plus it has the benefit that you don't make someone feel really bad about themselves or get punched in the face (thereby losing more teeth) yourself!
Reply:Yes, I would find it very offensive. But if I recognized false teeth, I'd probably not want to go to that dentist anyway.
Reply:I would not ask. I would remain a toothless wonder!

If the adverts for denturegrip etc are correct how the hell do u get your false teeth out once they're in?

well you swish some warm water around in your mouth and rock the denture back and forth, it will come out.

If the adverts for denturegrip etc are correct how the hell do u get your false teeth out once they're in?
Now thats a damn good question!! Well I have the answer, the stuff kinda forms a bond with the teeth, which does keep teeth in place really well, but which can be pulled apart. Its a bit like blue tack though more of a paste, slightly stringy. Must be a really uncomfortable feeling though.

If the poorly fitted false teeth plate is causing open sores in the mouth, then HIV can be transmitted via the blood from an open sore or by contact through the open sore.

We were about to leave right after eating funnel cake but I saw the counter with the caramel apples...well who can leave without eating or taking home a caramel apple...! *blasphemous* So, I go over to buy a caramel apple. I grab my leftover funnel cake that I can no longer finish, grab the napkins and my empty drink cup and drop it in the trash along the way. By the way, the trash can had this big clown head covering which was very disturbing to say the least. I am holding my caramel apple and ready to go home when I realize...

@*#(@%26amp; where did I leave my Invisaligns? They're gone! ACK! I think I trashed them. I run over to the trash can with the clown head on top...I'm deathly scared of clowns so I cringe as I pull the head off the trash can so that I can lean in and find my Invisaligns. They had just emptied the trash can it seems because I couldn't even see the bottom of the trash can. I look away just preparing to give it up when I look on the ground and ...

Right next to the trash can is a wad of napkins...and inside...

my INVISALIGNS!

However it's a great theory and if you look hard enough you can still find some of those teeth.

I wouldn't do anything, that's pretty shallow. How many people have a false haircolor, use cologne or perfume instead of just their real scent, or wear make-up to hide how they really look?

it would be superficial to stop dating someone because of it.

im sure their are imperfections with the way you look too.

how would you feel if someone dumped you for them?

this is what people need to learn, who you are on the inside is NOT reflected by who you are on the outside. your body is just a shell for your soul.

I had too many beers and threw up last night. I flushed my false teeth by mistake. Can a plumber help?

You can try it yourself - unsrew the first elbow on the sink's pipe - this is where most of the things that fell down the drain get stuck. If not ther- try the second elbowconnection (if you have it). If not found there - it is too late - they have been flushed down the pipes.

As for your teeth. I am sorry to hear it because I know they're expensive. Call a plumber and ask him if there's any hope. But maybe tell him you accidentally knocked them off the back of the toilet and not that you barfed them in.

lol.
Reply:Hi- Sorry to hear about ur dilema- I don't know if a Plumber could help you- But, call and ask him. Sounds like you need to get ur choppers replaced, and that is going to cost some bucks- Lots of your answers are done in a scolding form, so I'm not going to say anything bad, or make fun of you. Ur Dentist is the best source @ this point in time. IF you flushed the toilet, they probably went BYE BYE- BUT, don't lose faith- my little boy threw something like the size of dentures into my toilet, and it was lodged in there real good- couldn't get it out with a snake, and the Plumber may be able to help. How long after chemo and radiation for throat cancer can you get false teeth?

You have to wait a while. False teeth may be difficult for you now because the radiation kills your salivary glands, so u will have a lack of saliva which is needed to hold in the false teeth. It will be up to your physician and dentist to decide when the best time will be. Just make sure your teeth are kept extremely clean and cavity free.

Reply:Veneers are expensive and an investment. The lumineers now don't shave off as much of your natural tooth like the veneers do. You can keep doing the veneers, or get false teeth and save up for the dental implants, which are permanent.

I would never get false teeth unless it is your last resort
Reply:When you don't have any of your own!
Reply:When I was visiting the dentist every three months and needed fillings or extractions every visit we both decided it was the best thing to do.
Reply:Have dentures and i would not consider them until you are down to your last 4 or 5 perhaps 6 own teeth.
Reply:Usually you should consider false teeth when 90% of the teeth have enough decay that they need rootcanals or extractions or enough bone loss that they are becoming loose. Otherwise, if the bone is good and there is not severe decay, try to fix them. Veneers can be cemented back on, usually.
Reply:if your veneers have come away you can have them put back on, veneers are like finger nails the dentist can send them away to the lab and they can clean them and as long as the tooth is ok them you can have them put back on.

if there is something wrong with the teeth the dentist will do what has to be done and do some new ones or do what is know as a comp veneers. this is a white filling that can go on top of the tooth just like your veneer.

this can stay on there till it comes off.

i hope that is helps you out

Reply:Dr. Parks in Seymour, CT. He is AWESOME. We drive an hour just to get our dental work done. He implanted a fake tooth in my wife's mouth and you cant tell it's fake. He is very affordable and flexible with billing. He also is a cat lover.
Reply:Nicole,

The best way to start is to check with a few local Oral Surgeons. They usually do better implants than a "regular" dentist might. The Oral surgeon pulls teeth, works on jaw bone grafts and other "major oral surgical procedures". Some do implants, some don't. But they can evaluate if you are a candidate for implants, then do the work and monitor your recovery better than a regular dentist can. Implants can be tricky and are mucho expensive, so you want a trusted and very experienced Dr. to do the work, and pre-evaluation, you may not be a candidate, he'll know for sure. Good luck whatever you decide! Take care.

Can anyone give me the best possible answer for this...New relatioinship, False teeth...?

Can anyone give me the best possible answer for this...New relatioinship, False teeth...?
I do not think you have to tell him, if he asks, well that is a different story. and it is nothing to be ashamed of. so do not be concerned!
Reply:Is it something that you need to talk about right away? Do you like to take them out and leave them on the night stand or what?
Reply:I think it's best for you to tell them now, rather than later. That way, they aren't in for any little "surprises" later on in the relationship (i.e. they fall out). Just be honest and upfront, and if the person doesn't like it, then oh well, it's their loss.
Reply:Just tell them. Honesty is the best policy. Many people have problems trusting another because we all have been lied to sometime in our lives. Be honest and tell that person. False teeth are nothing to be ashamed about. At least you have enough self respect to fix your teeth.

Would the discovery that a potential partner had any sort of false teeth put you off?

I tend to notice teeth quite a lot %26amp; don't actually like dead straight ones....I guess if the teeth (I can't believe I'm writing this) were not too dead straight or looked obviously false then maybe it wouldn't put me off.....I wouldn't want to see them without the teeth though or find them in a glass one morning....oh my god, Noooooo!

I wouldn't want to see them move either, like when they're in their mouth. I guess I have more issues with false teeth than I realised eh?

Reply:I hope you realise "any sort of false teeth" would cover other things as well.Crowns or caps would fall under this heading.Meanwhile, they are not false teeth per se because your real teeth (at least some bit of them) remain under.People need false teeth for loads of reasons other than the cosmetic,so if that puts anyone off they have some very serious issues.
Reply:my girlfriend removes her false teeth at night and can give the most amazing oral sex without them . False teeth rock.
Reply:I think that if they were any kind of false teeth that came out at night then yes it would put me off! If they stayed in their mouth then no. I've got gold crowns and am now wondering if my husband thinks of them as false!!
Reply:No, it woulden't put me off at all. Well I guess that all depends on what kind it is. I don't think that I would date someone with denters, unless they are an old person. But that woulden;t happen anyways because I am still young. Well back to the subject, lol. Half of my front tooth is fake, and that dosen't put my boyfirend off at all. I think it is becuase it looks pretty real, and it also dosen't come out.

I was afraid that my mouth would feel full or I would gag, but I haven't had that problem. As for talking, there were a few words I had trouble with but within a week I was talking OK. I had trouble with k words. Use a good denture adhesive and you won't have to worry about slippage. I eat corn on the cob, ribs and anything else I want to. Having my teeth pulled and getting dentures was one of the best decisions I have made.

What is the best way to clean and remove stains from false teeth?

I have tried bleach, peroxide a scraper which I don't think is a good idea. Please help.

What is the best way to clean and remove stains from false teeth?
Dental technicians who make false teeth from the plastic called acrylic resin use a water based solution of powdered pummice stone and water to abrade the surface of the denture prior to polishing Most dental technicians especially those advertising themselves in yellow pages as (prosthetic technicians or denture repair shops will repolish your dentures and remove surface staining for a VERY SMALL fee, (pehaps even for nothing if you smile nicely).

Reply:Like what KIND of stains? Polident Smokers formula works fine for me. I haven't gotten anything on them it hasn't take out......yet, anyway.
Reply:buy false teeth cleaner and put it ,teeth and water in a tooth bath cup over night =does a great job=no need for scrubbing and it removes stains as well
Reply:Steradent cleans most things, make it up double strength, leave them to soak for a while.

Assuming they are you teeth, and not second hand(ugh) how did you let them get so stained?
Reply:How old are your dentures?? If you have had them a long time maybe it is time to invest in a new pair, as it is natural for them to discolour over time, especially if you are a smoker, and/or eat/drink foods that are likely to cause staining.

My mum has false teeth which she has for about 25-30 years and they look a bit discloured. She wont get new ones though!
Reply:That is a very good question, the best i've heard all night!

To be honest I dont know the best way to remove a stain from false teeth but I imagine your dentist would know, give him a ring!

There. Thats my last answer for tonight. Goodnight!
Reply:Howdy,

Have you tried overnight soaking with bleach or even

Efferdent type cleaners. I understand they work pretty well.

Sitting the dentures in the sun, after bleaching them will also

whiten the choppers. Solution: Try six ounces of warm water and 1 tablespoon of Clorox type bleach, for a couple of hours, wash with almost hot water, using the dental scrub brush. Make sure that you rinse them very well in cool water. always store them in a dental container with an effervescent type cleaner. I don't have dentures but close family member do and have cared for their denture for years.

By the way, if none of that works; try your Dentist, they usually have some fantastic new cleaners that he may let you sample. If you ask in the right way, you may wind up with a year supply.

Reply:Some people have their dentures for a very long time and stains from 20-30 years ago aren't going to come out.

Polident for smoker works or you could go in to see a dentist and see what they reccommend. If they are really bad you may want to purchase replacements at this time.

Have any experiments been done with stem cells to grow teeth in adults, so removes need for false teeth.?

Stem cell research or marrow cell research.

Have any experiments been done with stem cells to grow teeth in adults, so removes need for false teeth.?
Are you talking about a stem cell transplant?

Cause...I had one and.. it was a success!
Reply:Not that I have heard anything about. Considering the issues with stem cell research.....growing teeth is the LAST thing they are trying to fix right now. Too many serious health problems first....like Parkinson's and spinal cord injuries.

Teeth is at the bottom of any list....if it's even ON a list.
Reply:Not to my knowledge. However they can fix teeth to your jaw bone seen it done on the tele.
Reply:really i cant understand ur question
Reply:I read about this in a magazine and it said it started with the Chinese. Here is a website about it. www.freerepublic.com
Reply:Yes there have been some experiments with trying to grow new teeth from tooth "germs" but they have not been very successful as there is no way to predict what sort of tooth they are going to get (eg who wants a molar in the front of their mouth). They have however been successful in taking stem cells from teeth and using them in other parts of the body such as the liver see this link http://www.worldhealth.net/p/stem-cells-...

Why doctor ask before surgery whether a patient has a false teeth and to remove if it is there?

Before surgery a plastic airway is often placed inside the patient’s mouth during surgery so the patient can breathe (intubation for artificial ventilation). Along the intubation process, some traction forces are applied by anesthesiologist that can possibly dislodge loose tooth or damage false teeth. Sometimes when patients are under anesthesia, or when they are awakening, they may bite very hard on the airway and may damage their teeth especially if the teeth are weak, diseased, loose or artificial.Choking hazard follows. For that reason, the doctor always asks before surgery for any dentures or artificial teeth, or presence of any loose tooth which will be required to remove prior to surgery.

Why doctor ask before surgery whether a patient has a false teeth and to remove if it is there?
so you dont choke on them

stupid question
Reply:so that the patients teeth don't accidently slip %26amp; choke him or her
Reply:Mostly, because usually when they put you under anesthesia, they will put an inhabation piece in your throat. It's a piece of hard plastic they use to keep your airway open. If you have dentures or any other kind of removable things, like a retainer or bridge work, they'll have you take it out so it's not in the way. Hope that helps!
Reply:False and loose teeth can be damaged or come loose after intubation and induction of anesthesia by an anesthesiologist before surgery. During intubation, a metal device called a stylette is placed in the mouth with traction applied to guide the endotracheal tube (breathing tube) into the the patients airway. Injuring the teeth usually doesn't happen, but can happen when the anesthesiologist is applying traction. Proper technique and dental examination by the anesthesiologist is needed to minimize the possibility of dislodging a tooth and possibly having the patient aspirate (inhale something into their airway and into their lungs).
Reply:There's a laryngoscope going in the gullet, and it won't do either to break the plate or have it jammed back in the airway getting in the way of things. It's nice to have air going in and out.
Reply:Anesthesiologists have to manage the patient's airway. Most of the time, this means putting something in the mouth and/or throat, be it an endotracheal tube, laryngeal mask airway or oropharyngeal airway.

Dentures get in the way. To put an endotracheal tube in, we use a device called a laryngoscope, which is a metal tongue blade with a light, so we can see the vocal cords. Laryngoscopes can easily break dentures, and the dentures can prevent us from getting a good view (which puts the patient in danger of not being intubated, which is bad)

People get really upset if their teeth get lost, so it's best to keep them someplace safe, usually with all the stuff you bring to the hospital/surgery center.

(We like people with no teeth. They're easier to intubate.)
Reply:when a pt has surgery and general anesthesia is used a tube is usually put down a pts throat for breathing purposed and the teeth may be damaged in the process
Reply:Because they don't want you to choke on them because when your asleep you can't tell them your chocking and you can die.

CAN u tell when some one wears a wig? HAs false teeth?OR a fake hair piece?

Sometimes wigs are easy to spot... they just look like they are about to fall off the person's head, other times I have no idea. False teeth... I think there is no way to tell. They look real.

If anything a hair piece is the easiest to spot.. they really look like they are about to fall off and the color is usually off from the natural color.

Usually, but I don't care. If it makes them feel better, it's cool.

My mother is 69 years old and has medicaid. Her false teeth were damaged beyond repair. Will madicaid cover?

States may elect to provide dental services to their adult Medicaid-eligible population or elect not to provide dental services at all as part of its Medicaid program. While most states provide at least emergency dental services for adults, less than half of the states provide comprehensive dental care. There are no minimum requirements for adult dental coverage.

My mother is 69 years old and has medicaid. Her false teeth were damaged beyond repair. Will madicaid cover?
The general rule is that Medicaid does not provide dental services unless the service needed is considered a medical emergency. The only people I'm aware of that can pretty well get almost any kind of dental procedure done through Medicaid are the ones on SSI....However, keep this in mind should Medicaid deny your Mom denture services. If there is a Dental College near you, the school will have an "Out Patient Clinic" that provides a wide range of dental services to the public. The cost will be from "Free" to very low, depending on the persons financial status. Also, some Hospitals have a Dental Intern-ship Program. If one near you does, it too will provide the same type of fee schedule for dental services as does the dental school clinic. Good luck and I wish you well.
Reply:NO Doc W
Reply:medi will not cover, unfortunatly. the only thing medi will cover dentally on an adult is an extraction and about 100 bucks worth of radiographs. (usually, don't quote me, each state may be different, i am not sure)

but usually there are denture centers that cater to medicaid patients and have lower rates, check with the medi office to get a list of providers, then ask the general dentist if they suggest anyone
