At what point do you need to accept that you should have false teeth?

My veneers fell off this afternoon. Serious answers please.

At what point do you need to accept that you should have false teeth?
When they look like a row of condemned cottages %26amp; u whistle when u talk!
Reply:When my teeth are not nice to look at and I can't afford to pay thousand of pounds to correct them
Reply:As long as you don't have severe periodontal disease, keep your teeth. Get new veneers. Your dentist should try to help you keep your teeth as long as possible.
Reply:when you have effectivly been mugged by the tooth fairy and you can no longer eat your lunch, unless vanity is an issue then you may want them earlier in life

Reply:Veneers are expensive and an investment. The lumineers now don't shave off as much of your natural tooth like the veneers do. You can keep doing the veneers, or get false teeth and save up for the dental implants, which are permanent.

Reply:It depends how you feel without them, I have had all my top front teeth reconstucted as they were really ugly and the dentist did a great job that will last me 8 or nine years............They are straight for the first time in my life and I feel more confident. I would never get false teeth unless it is your last resort

Reply:When I was visiting the dentist every three months and needed fillings or extractions every visit we both decided it was the best thing to do.
Reply:Have dentures and i would not consider them until you are down to your last 4 or 5 perhaps 6 own teeth.
Reply:Usually you should consider false teeth when 90% of the teeth have enough decay that they need rootcanals or extractions or enough bone loss that they are becoming loose. Otherwise, if the bone is good and there is not severe decay, try to fix them. Veneers can be cemented back on, usually.
Reply:if your veneers have come away you can have them put back on, veneers are like finger nails the dentist can send them away to the lab and they can clean them and as long as the tooth is ok them you can have them put back on.


if there is something wrong with the teeth the dentist will do what has to be done and do some new ones or do what is know as a comp veneers. this is a white filling that can go on top of the tooth just like your veneer.


this can stay on there till it comes off.
