What is the best way to clean and remove stains from false teeth?

I have tried bleach, peroxide a scraper which I don't think is a good idea. Please help.

What is the best way to clean and remove stains from false teeth?
Dental technicians who make false teeth from the plastic called acrylic resin use a water based solution of powdered pummice stone and water to abrade the surface of the denture prior to polishing Most dental technicians especially those advertising themselves in yellow pages as (prosthetic technicians or denture repair shops will repolish your dentures and remove surface staining for a VERY SMALL fee, (pehaps even for nothing if you smile nicely).

Reply:Like what KIND of stains? Polident Smokers formula works fine for me. I haven't gotten anything on them it hasn't take out......yet, anyway.
Reply:buy false teeth cleaner and put it ,teeth and water in a tooth bath cup over night =does a great job=no need for scrubbing and it removes stains as well
Reply:Steradent cleans most things, make it up double strength, leave them to soak for a while.

Assuming they are you teeth, and not second hand(ugh) how did you let them get so stained?
Reply:How old are your dentures?? If you have had them a long time maybe it is time to invest in a new pair, as it is natural for them to discolour over time, especially if you are a smoker, and/or eat/drink foods that are likely to cause staining.

My mum has false teeth which she has for about 25-30 years and they look a bit discloured. She wont get new ones though!
Reply:That is a very good question, the best i've heard all night!

To be honest I dont know the best way to remove a stain from false teeth but I imagine your dentist would know, give him a ring!

There. Thats my last answer for tonight. Goodnight!
Reply:Howdy,

Have you tried overnight soaking with bleach or even

Efferdent type cleaners. I understand they work pretty well.

Sitting the dentures in the sun, after bleaching them will also

whiten the choppers. Solution: Try six ounces of warm water and 1 tablespoon of Clorox type bleach, for a couple of hours, wash with almost hot water, using the dental scrub brush. Make sure that you rinse them very well in cool water. always store them in a dental container with an effervescent type cleaner. I don't have dentures but close family member do and have cared for their denture for years.

By the way, if none of that works; try your Dentist, they usually have some fantastic new cleaners that he may let you sample. If you ask in the right way, you may wind up with a year supply.

Reply:Some people have their dentures for a very long time and stains from 20-30 years ago aren't going to come out.

Polident for smoker works or you could go in to see a dentist and see what they reccommend. If they are really bad you may want to purchase replacements at this time.
