Pulling teeth.?

What are points for? Do I have to pay for asking question? I intend to have all my treeth pulled and replaced or get false teeth. What kind of cost am I looking at and how long a process?

Pulling teeth.?
Why, why would you want to do that? Do whatever is possible to save as many of your natural teeth as possible. False teeth are a poor substitute for the real thing.
Reply:I can tell you the price I paid for pulling one tooth out. It is about $300-$350. As for implants it would be about $1500 a tooth. I don't know about dentures though. That is just an estimate it could be more or less.

I hope you get to make a good decision about your teeth.

Take care.

Where to find Mrs Doutfire/Tootsie teeth?

When Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are being transformed into women, they both 'click' some false teeth into their upper mouthes over the teeth they already have. These seem relatively easy to put it and although Mrs Doubtfire looses hers at the end, they stay in place.

My front teeth are absolutely horrendous but I'm only a student and can't afford eye wateringly expensive cosmetic dentistry. I would love to know where you could get hold of such things. I don't ever smile anymore and always look miserable as a result.

Make-up departments must get them from somewhere.

Can anyone help me? If you don't know where, does anyone know the technical name for them so I can search on the internet?

Thanks

Where to find Mrs Doutfire/Tootsie teeth?
heres a site i found:

Reply:It’s not good when you can’t smile because you are conscious about your teeth. Surely you should be able to get something done without costing a fortune and better looking than false teeth. What you have to remember is that these customized teeth that the actors were are made by dentist and are very expensive. Let me know if you need more help on this..

Can anyone please give some advice on my teeth?

I have some serious issues. The biggest issue is that even at the thought of a dentist I get hysterical and start crying before I get there. I have put off going becasue I am scared to be told I have to have all my teeth taken out. I have done some research on ssolutions but they costs a fortune I don't have .

I have a bridge and the two teeth holding it on have now broken and one of my last front teeth is busy breaking.

I don't want false teeth! What can I do??

Can anyone please give some advice on my teeth?
Go to your dentist and tell them that you are just going in for a check up and you want to know what's going on but you don't want to be pressured into doing anything you don't want to (i.e. getting false teeth). they're not as bad as they sound.. people won't notice them but I know no one wants to lose their teeth

you never know until you try.
Reply:I have the same issue, I hate the dentist so whenever I have something done I request to be put to sleep so I don't have to go through any of the dental torture.
Reply:you have to conquer your fear. simple as that. the dentist isn't that bad...

seriously, I got 9 teeth removed for my braces a few days ago. not that bad!
Reply:Have the damage tooth filled down pretty low. Then get a white cap place over it. It's not necessarily false, sense your real tooth is there. But it's better than a big toothless gap in your mouth anyday. This coming from a person who gets nauseated when I hear I have a cavity and has cried in many 'a' dentist chair. And I'm 15
Reply:You could talk to your dentist about a payment plan or some sort of financing - a lot of them do it these days. Express your concerns with your dentist %26amp; get several different opinions.

Or you could always write a talk show like Tyra or Maury - they seem to help people with stuff like that all the time

Good luck
Reply:I know its scary to go to the dentist but if you go soon then you will be able to get work done before it gets any worse. Take a friend or family member you like with you, it will help calm you down with them providing support. Oh and get a second opinion on your teeth from another dentist (especially if you get free consultation alot of places do that).

If you are worrying about financial costs you might want to check out dental schools in your area because they are cheaper, or if you live close to another country or are going on a trip, you could get your dental work done somewhere where it is cheaper (i went to argentina to visit family and had dental work done there for really cheap).

I bet youll feel better just to know whats actually going on and be able to stop worrying.
Reply:Just ask for advice before you commit to any treatment.

You may be able to have implants, they are a bit costly but can be cheaper in places like Budapest for example.

All i can say is research research research %26amp; as well go to the general medical council, they will have a list of good dentists.

Also see if your dentist can refer you to guys hospital in London, they are great.
Reply:I'm really sorry about your teeth and your fears. I can relate to the fear of the costs too.

One of the best ways to deal with anxiety %26amp; uncertainty is to get the facts about the situation. It might be a good idea to ask friends who their dentist is and get a 2nd opinion.

Good luck
Reply:Sister, I am sitting in the same boat. I already have a partial (I'm 45). I have several unseated crowns, temporary fixes, and lose fillings routinely. Oh, and I have this one swelling on my jaw--I'm thinking it's an abcess. My teeth don't respond well to root canals. Before 5 years are up they've abcessed. I've got at least $20K of work just to bring me up to standard.

I'm scared of the dentist herself. I hate all doctors, because I think they'll tell me something more is wrong. My dentist only does the general stuff, so I have to go to a specialist for root canals, extractions, etc.

I'm so sick of dental work, pain, worry, etc. I'm almost ready to go for the dentures. That's so sad!

How do you feel about dental colleges? If you let a resident practice on you, you get great discounts. That freaks me out. Even experienced dentists hurt me all the time.

I've got to go. I'm with you.

Reply:Tell them your feelings and ask if there's not a tranquillizer you could take a bit before the appointment. Believe me your not the only one that hates dental visits. I've got my first appointment in 8 years Monday. Don't drink.
Reply:well it looks like the last 2 teeth u have left are shot now too. if u don't like dentures then don't get them, some guys like women without teeth.
Reply:I have anxiety depression and I have been trying an alternative therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique and it has really worked for me and helped me a lot. Since using it I have been feeling a lot better. It's very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound bizarre but does work. Might be something that can help you. These are some links about it. If you look in the search engine of the first website emofree.com and type Dentist phobia you should find lots of articles about EFT being used on dentist phobias.
Reply:This is your mouth and these are your teeth and you should keep searching until you find a compassionate dentist who realises this, as well. Find a dentist who makes you feel respected - you know, someone you can talk to and not feel like an idiot.
Reply:HELLO,

Get Dental Implant surgery in India.Cosmetic and dental Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your Dental Implant surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

my cousin got a couple of Dental surgery procedures in India like the Jaw Surgery,Dental Implant through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.

Hi unfortunatly in 2003 i had an accident with my 2 lower front teeth where they got chipped?

so i had crowns put in which looked false so i had them taken out and now there is just a gap, and i remember the dentist telling me at the time that if you had these removed, i wont be able to have anymore crowns or false teeth. so now there is just a gap in my front lower teeth and im just wondering if anything can be done? plus someone told me that my other teeth will come loose and fall out, is this true? and ive heard soon that scientist will be able to 'grow ' new teeth, how true is this and how far off is this? does anyone no anything about this and the details? this gap is really winding me up sometimes and its right at the front to, but i no i cant have any more crowns in, and from the way they looked last time i wouldnt want to

Hi unfortunatly in 2003 i had an accident with my 2 lower front teeth where they got chipped?
I have not seen x-rays, so I don't know what would be the best choice for you, but there are several ways to replace missing teeth. Discuss this with your dentist.
Reply:what i would say is see dentist and see what can be done I'm sure they could give you a brace to close the gap but you best see dentist
Reply:All you need is a couple of false teeth on a bridge so they're in there permanently. These will probably look just like the crowns. It would have been better to hang on to them in the first place. Best thing to do with crowns is to have at least 4 at the front so that all your teeth match when you wmile, although a good crown shouldnt look too false. Even if your teeth were discoloured the crown could have been made to match.
Reply:You need to make an appointment with a Dentist to discuss your options.

In regards to your question about growing new teeth have a read of this article

Aren't the US candidates teeth excessively white?

I have never seen such white teeth! What's up? They all look like they have false teeth. What are they doing bleeching or using porcelain veneers? Is this normal in America now? What do you think of the candidates teeth? Did you notice that they are so white?

Aren't the US candidates teeth excessively white?
Well, dentists have to eat too, you know. What do you have against cosmetic dentistry?
Reply:"The better to eat you with, my dear!"
Reply:So this is what you are paying attention to?

Based on whiteness of teeth, who are you voting for?
Reply:I hear they are all doing Den-teen commercials.
Reply:You too can have excessively white teeth. This can be done by a dentist or you can just visit any store that has toothpaste. There will also be all kinds of home-use tooth whiteners on the shelf. They also spend $400 on a hair cut. I'm more interested in what comes out of their mouth than how gleaming their smile is or what their hair looks like. I wish they were.
Reply:If you don't appeal to idiots, you have no chance at winning the election. I would bet dollars to donuts a significant amount of morons vote for the looks.
Reply:Politicians probably all have fake teeth. It complements all their other fake and phony attributes. -RKO- 06/30/07
Reply:You are right, especially about the cartoon or fake quality. They are porcelain veneers. It is not bleaching. I am glad to know someone else noticed. I would regard it as poor dentistry.

I have a theory. Their campaign advisers took a poll and it showed that it would gain more votes that it lost. So I guess you could say it is normal for candidates now.
Reply:I suspect that whiteness is an illusion. When your are as dirty as a rep or senator yer teeth would naturally look white against your blackened fa sod
