Since dental work is so costly is considering false teeth a good option?

The best answer I have ever seen is on the website I posted below. I have implants upper and lower that hold a whole piece bridge unit and even though my smile is pretty and the teeth stable there is nothing like the feel of ones own natural teeth. With implants I also get more sinus pain when I have a cold.

Truth is dental issues are expensive. As for eating in restaurants with dentures you can. But many have to result in gluing them in with things like fixodent because dentures especially the lowers do not like to stay seated.

Since dental work is so costly is considering false teeth a good option?
yes and no. No because if you can keep your own teeth that%26#039;s more than worth the money, sometimes people can%26#039;t afford root canals and crowns so they opt to pull the tooth, a false tooth or bridge is never the same as your own tooth so if you can save a tooth it%26#039;s worth it. On the other hand, if it%26#039;s a bad tooth and a root canal won%26#039;t work, I would recommend the false tooth or bridge to fill in the space, they cost alot too. In all honesty, either way root canal/crown or bridge/false teeth, they all are expensive.

The best thing to do is get regular cleanings and make sure if you have a cavity you get it fixed immediately to save your teeth and the cost of expensive repairs later.
Reply:Find out all you can about false teeth. For example:

If you have lower dentures, your mandibular bone will receed and your face will appear sunken and old. Your lower denture will have to be re-done periodically because it won%26#039;t fit for long. You can%26#039;t eat in a restaurant with friends, for one thing.

The gums below your dentures will likely develop sores and give you pain. You will give up some of the foods you enjoy because you simply cannot chew properly.

Your speech will be affected. If dentures are improperly fitted, loose dentures will result in %26quot;fuzzy%26quot; speech patterns, making you sound like that old man on Family Guy.

Your breath might smell bad. Forget dating.

Does it sound so costly now? A few dollars to avoid a lifetime of embarrassment and discomfort?
Reply:as the dental profession nothing could replace your own teeth. with denture ,partial or other prosthetic you will not be happy.if you could preserve any of the with the mean of rootcanel, crown, filing, implant you should with all mean do it,even though its $ do one teeth at a time ,you will not regret this. their is a dental credit card you could apply for its called Care credit its a no interest c/c for 6-12 month and offers good option to pay back. its available in Los angeles CA try your area.
Reply:believe me, its not as simple as that. alot of people think that if they dont have their teeth looked after they can just get false teeth, but there is alot going on in your mouth. oral health affects everyday health so just letting teeth go could do alot of damage to you. you would have to let your teeth rot and fall out which is giving yourself periodontal disease and false teeth still need maintenance to keep then looking good and clean and fitting properly and your gums still need to be looked after. I dont suggest it...take care of your own teeth.
Reply:It really depends on your current situation. If you have more teeth than not any dentist will try to save what you have. I broke my jaw when i was 13 and i have lost almost all of my top teeth. I have some dental implants, but mostly for cosmetic reasons. I am at the same cross road that you are at. It really comes down to you. I HATE the look of dentures, I am currently Turing to save enough money for dental implants, which is also another alternative. The cheapest place for dental work is in Grove Oklahoma. I have heard that a complete set is under $300. You could also look into that. I hope this helps you.
Reply:Only in rare circumstances would I advise someone to extract their teeth and have dentures made. Its nearly impossible to replace teeth, gum tissue, and bone with plastic and acylic. Yet that is what we try to do when we make dentures. For some people who have very poor oral hygiene and teeth that are constantly hurting, this may be the only option. It is also important to understand how dentures work. They stay in place due to suction. It is next to impossible to get suction on the lower denture due to the tongue. I would suggest to try to save as many teeth as possible. Although the dentistry is expensive, it is far better to save teeth than extact and replace with dentures.
