Why does my grandma take out her false teeth when she's drunk?

It%26#039;s really creepy and she does it, like, ALL the time.

Why does my grandma take out her false teeth when she%26#039;s drunk?
No. 1, I%26#039;m sorry your grandma gets drunk, it must be very depressing for you.

No. 2, her teeth must really bother her and as soon as she gets drunk she loses all inhibitions and anything that bothers her is gone.
Reply:lol... probably b/c she is drunk she does not think about it... also she probably does not think it%26#039;s creepy
Reply:Cause she%26#039;s drunk?
Reply:So that she doesn%26#039;t choke on them.
Reply:people do weird things when theyre drunk kid
Reply:thats weird
Reply:ummm cause she%26#039;s drunk?

lol, if that scares u don%26#039;t give her drinks..
Reply:maybe she%26#039;s afraid they%26#039;ll fall out. seriously
Reply:she thinks it makes her SEXXII!
Reply:Her idea of humor????
Reply:she%26#039;d probably loose them if she didn%26#039;t. LOL that%26#039;s kinda funny. Plus I%26#039;m sure the alcohol isn%26#039;t good for the dentures either
Reply:probably to freak you out on purpose! lol
Reply:cuz shes crazy as hell
Reply:Better then other things she could do when she%26#039;s drunk I suppose.
Reply:So she doesn%26#039;t bite her toung, maybe?
Reply:hahaha wow, is this a serious question???

well its probably something pyshcological. something that happened a while ago with her and she just does this. maybe you should have her see a psychologist so he/she can find out the source of the problem so it can be fixed
Reply:Maybe she%26#039;s afraid they%26#039;ll fall out if she doesn%26#039;t take them out. Maybe the booze feels good against her gums. Or, maybe she just likes grossing you out. You gotta watch them old timers, they%26#039;re a sneaky bunch.
Reply:When drunk, you can do stupid things, the instructions given by dental experts say to take out false teeth when drinking. This is to do with some acid ( i forgot why) and also it is a safeguard from any accidents. she could easyily swallow them or choke
Reply:Because the slurring is already bad enough (they probably make her slur even more), and she is also afraid of swallowing them.
Reply:So she won%26#039;t barf them down the toilet.
Reply:For, she knows that what she drinks is also a false thing. False+False = a huge False. She does not like this ..
Reply:They might bother her a bit but she leaves them in for appearances.

When she drinks too much, she loses her inhibitions and takes them out.
Reply:Most likely there not comfortable in the first place, so by the time she is drunk she is annoyed by having to keep them in place its easier to just relax and take them out! If she wasnt drunk then she would probly just be annoyed and deal with it, sore gums and all!
Reply:Maybe they bother her or don%26#039;t fit right. Anyway, you should be glad you don%26#039;t have false teeth and be more tolerant of her.
Reply:It%26#039;s sad that your grandma gets drunk all the time like this. I would be most concerned on her doing that , but her teeth coming out then isn%26#039;t the best thing to have to see either. ASK her why she does that if you can find a sober moment. I would not be sure she knows she does or if she is aware, there has to be a reason for it. At least it%26#039;s not as bad as the coworker I have that has a friend with a fake eye that puts his eye in a glass when he is out and drinking then. He does it for shock value he says, but I think that can make someone either stop drinking altogether or to have more to forget that.
Reply:That is creepy... I think old ladies being drunk is creepy too.
