before i have my braces i have to have a operation to remove 2 teeth that are stuck in my gum then a gold chain put on the other 1 to pull it down to wear my baby tooth was. then i will have to have braces and after a retainer 24/7 for 8monthz then just at bnight for 4monthz is it all worth it?
Im having braces for 3yrs then a retainer for 1yr instead of having a false tooth is it worth it?
definatly i had braces and now my teeth look really nice all my friends noticed the change and were jealous at how nice my teeth looked!!! i am on retainers now and there fine! Oh and braces dont hurt that much its just a couple of days that it kind of is sore other than that its fine and you get used to them honestly there not as bad as some people make out but it is always worth it
Reply:to keep all your own original teeth, i would say yes, look after them, as you will regret it in later life
Reply:unless you can afford implants, you better try you best to keep your original tooth
Reply:Yeah I had 2 teeth removed, then braces for 2years ... you got lucky with the retainer, as sometimes you have to wear them for about 3-5 years. It'll be worth it trust me. Braces are bad to start off with but once you get used to them you don't notice them. Your teeth look GREAT afterwards, especially if you take good care brushing them when you have braces on. They are loads easier to brush when you don't have braces any more as well.
Reply:yes yes yes...it is worth it..your young,are you..teeth are the most importance aspect of anybody,s face...smile..good luck..mary.c,
Reply:I have worked in the dental profession for 18 yrs. its definitely the best option to have the braces. it will take longer but you will be glad in the end that you stuck with it. sometimes a quick fix is not the best fix.
Reply:yes, it is definitely worth it, i works in an orthodontists for 5 years, and the results from start to finish are wonderful. but you have to watch out, you will need to follow a more rigid diet as breakages from hard foods and sticky foods can make the treatment take longer.
just think you will be following in the steps of johnny depp and justin timberlake, britney spears and loads of other stars. but you will love the end result.
Reply:no -all these people who say look at celebs teeth etc miss out the fact that lots can go wrong plenty of those people are wearing what could only be described as false teeth for all that they are permenantly fixed.you can have bad reactions to the anaesthetic, the dentist can take out the wrong teeth(alarmingly common,it is the most commonly sued for operation in the uk!!)and brackets(fixed braces)weaken your teeth and can crack them aslo the cement turns your teeth brown after a few years and in order to remove it dentists grind the top layer of the enamel off-why do dentist not tell u this?money.i would get a few second oppinions if i were u.-also teeth in the gum r not nessecerily bad.if your teeth r healthy be grateful and go with the falsey
Reply:It is ABSOLUTELY worth it! Anytime you can keep your own teeth, do it!
Reply:of course its all worth it, you will perfect set of teeth!!!
