My teeth are crooked and i hate them...what can i do BESIDES braces?

im 16 and my biggest insecurity is my teeth....other then that im not bad looking...but it reallly brings down my confedence. i really dont want braces nor can i afford them...is there anything else i can do? false teeth? anything?

I hate to break it to you, but braces are the CHEAPEST fix for crooked teeth.





If you want to retain your own teeth, the only other thing you can have done is grinding down of the tooth, and then a veneer placed over it that would have a proper shape and alignment. But these are much more expensive than having your teeth fixed with braces.

Reply:I think there is a surgery that dentists can do on the spot to straighten your teeth instead of wearing braces, but not really sure. Just visit your local dentist and find out the options he or she can give you. Good Luck!
Reply:Im realy sorry but i think thats all you can do :(. I have braces and there not that bad i mean 2 years for the prise of perfect;y strait teath. but you mentioned a money situation... If there was no limit on money i would go for the clear braces, but i would save up and get them done with better now then when your older. Hope i helped. And if u still cant get them just try not to have huge smiles with teath showing.

knock out your teeth and get some denchers.
Reply:take popsicle sticks and every night before bed pry on your teeth to get them back to where they belong. believe it or not, my dentist actually told me to do this, so I guess its fairly safe. just don't go using a prybar.
Reply:Braces here are 6,000 and thats about all you can do. Maybe, multiple retainers if its not too servere.
Reply:okay well in response to the other answers (and you since you said false teeth), why would you want porcelain veneers? they are just as expensive as braces (possibly more), and they usually look really bad on people. and fake! think of hilary duff and her horse teeth. do you want to look like that? didn't think so.





why don't you want braces? is it because you don't like the way they look? is it a money thing? if it's because you don't like them, then look into invisalign. you will look totally normal while fixing your teeth. it's like invisible braces.
