I'v got no teeth and am not eligible for false ones, what shall I do?

Call around to different dental offices, check with your church, your family doctor or friends and relatives; someone will be able to help point you in the right direction so you can get the dentures you need. There are usually several dentists in each town that are willing to offer help to those who can't afford it. Needing dentures can affect your over all general health. Your teeth are the integral part in your initial digestion process, without properly chewing food or breaking it down for digestion to begin it can cause you can develop serious medical problems.

In the meantime you should grind your food (that can't be swallowed without chewing) in a processor and add Ensure to your daily diet to supplement your nutritional needs. I know it's an added expense, but in the long run it's less expensive than a visit to the doctor due to your lack of nutrients being supplied.

I hope I've been of some help and do check with dentist in your area, someone will be willing to help you. I understand it may be difficult to ask for help, but we do offer it to patients when they are in need. Good luck to you and I hope that you will seek the help needed.

how could you not be eligible for false one? I don't get that one.
Reply:Contact your local university or college that has a dental school. Often times the schools allow "walk ins" as a way of giving the future dentists experience.

Also try health and human services in your county.
Reply:Pay for them yourself.
Reply:buy a food processor
Reply:JOKING. Don't eat anything that needs chewing try having lots of soup and stuff like that. Try ringing your local C.A.B and asking what you should do as they know more than you and me....
Reply:Grin and bear it
Reply:Ok, this seems weird, how come you are not eligible for false teeth?

Change your dentist or is it you can not get them on the NHS in your area or can you not afford them?
Reply:I guess you will have to buy some dentures.
Reply:don't know why you are not eligible for false ones, is it because of a health issue or money, ask if you can pay for them in instalments, my Friend has done that with opticians for a pair of specs, if you don't ask you don't get, good luck
Reply:Maybe you could write talk shows like Oprah or Montell Williams as they do makeovers on their show quiet often. Write a letter and explain your situation and maybe you will be lucky enough to get a free makeover where all of your teeth will be replaced. Whoever the azzholes are that told you that you are not eligible have no sense at all. What does a person have to do to be eligible??? Dang you have no teeth. How much more eligible can you be. You sound like the perfect candidate. Write the shows and explain how stupid the people are who are claiming you are not eligible. Maybe send some pictures as well. Good luck to you.
Reply:Do you mean you are not entitled to free teeth

Just cough up and pay for some
Reply:What you probably mean is that you're not eligible for free ones, because even on NHS you have to pay a certain amount, but I recommend that you sign up to an NHS dentist if you can because your life will change completely for the better with teeth. Your smile will improve, you will be able to eat and you will look younger. If you can't get an NHS dentist, a private one for full dentures will cost anything from £1500 upwards.
Reply:Any one can have false teeth if they need them. If you're in the UK, on a low income and can't afford NHS charges and the like you can apply to the Prescription Pricing Authority for a HC11 form or HELP WITH NHS COSTS form. Their number is 0845 6018076. They will send you the form and you will have to fill it out and send some evidence of your income. They will then decide if you can get full or partial help with the costs.

If you're not eligible at all for help via this route, ask at a dentist if they can do a payment plan for you.
